Here is one or the most recent women to receive a Nobel Prize. Elizabeth Blackburn shares the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with her former graduate student. The proper credit received by her graduate student will contrast some of the other women profiled this month. She was removed from President’s Council on Bioethics in 2004 because of her support of embryonic stem cell research.
